Calculation Methodology
The load distribution is calculated based on the principles of static equilibrium:
- The sum of all axle loads must equal the total vehicle weight
- The sum of moments about any point must be zero
For a vehicle with multiple axles, the calculation formula is:
Load on Axlei = (Total Weight × Distance from CG to other axles) / Total Wheelbase
This calculation assumes:
- The vehicle is on a level surface
- The load is symmetrically distributed
- The chassis is rigid
