Calculation Methodology

The load distribution is calculated based on the principles of static equilibrium:

  • The sum of all axle loads must equal the total vehicle weight
  • The sum of moments about any point must be zero

For a vehicle with multiple axles, the calculation formula is:

Load on Axlei = (Total Weight × Distance from CG to other axles) / Total Wheelbase

This calculation assumes:

  • The vehicle is on a level surface
  • The load is symmetrically distributed
  • The chassis is rigid
