Fundamental Diagram of Traffic Flow

The fundamental diagram of traffic flow shows the relationships between flow, density, and speed:

  • Flow (Q) = Density (K) × Speed (V)
  • Density (K) = Flow (Q) ÷ Speed (V)
  • Speed (V) = Flow (Q) ÷ Density (K)
